Prima greșeală a tuturor: cumperi boostere. Sunt distractive, dar sunt loterie. Dacă vrei să joci, ai nevoie de un deck întreg.
- Ia un precon. Un deck gata făcut, din magazin, are tot ce-ți trebuie ca să joci în seara aia. Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Lorcana și Flesh and Blood au toate variante de 60 până la 150 de lei.
- Alege jocul după oameni, nu după cărți. Cel mai bun joc e cel pe care îl joacă cineva lângă tine. Întreabă la trade day ce se joacă în orașul tău.
- Nu cumpăra „pentru investiție”. Cumpără pentru că îți place cartea. Dacă și crește, bonus.
- Bugetul de început rezonabil: un precon, un pachet de sleeve-uri și un deck box. Restul vine.

Everyone's first mistake: buying booster packs. They are fun, but they are a lottery. If you want to play, you need a full deck.
- Get a preconstructed deck. A ready-made deck from a shop has everything you need to play that same evening. Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Lorcana and Flesh and Blood all have versions between 60 and 150 lei.
- Pick the game by the people, not the cards. The best game is the one somebody near you plays. Ask at trade day what your city plays.
- Do not buy "as an investment". Buy because you like the card. If it goes up, bonus.
